What:A new race series for 2013 sponsored by Trailrunner Magazine. The race series will give runners chances to win great prizes from participating sponsors. See below for a list of sponsors and the points system. All you have to do is run the races, we'll take care of the points and prizes.
How:Each runner will be given points based on participation and overall finish in each of the six age groups. In addition, the series will crown an overall male and female winner based on a simple point system.
Who:Any runner who wants to have some fun while doing four of the best trail races in the country. Prize packages will be given to the top 6 males and females in each age group. Also, an overall male and female will be crowned along with a Sportsmanship Award to be given to a deserving runner. Overall, 15 great prize packages will be given out. So far, our sponsors include Carbboom, TryChips, Sheetz, Wigwam, Vargo Outdoors, Nathan, Penguin Brands, LaSportiva, and of course, Trailrunner Magazine.
2013 Central Pa Trophy Series Guidelines
Age Groups:
Male:19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Female:19 and under, 20-39, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Point System:
100 points for each Trophy Series race completed
ADD
1 – 25 points per place per age group.25 points for 1st place, 24 points for 2nd place, 23 points for 3rd and so on…
EQUALS
OVERALL AGE GROUP WINNER OF TROPHY SERIES
EXTRA CREDIT
1 – 10 points for each top ten overall finish at each race per gender.This will determine overall Men’s and Women’s Winner.10 points for 1st place, 9 points for 2nd place, 8 points for 3rd and so on…In the event that a person wins their age group and overall male / female, the 2nd place person in that age group will take over 1st place.
OVERALL MALE AND FEMALE WINNERS OF THE TROPHY SERIES
**There will be 12 separate age group winners, 2 overall winners (M,F) and one person chosen for our Trophy Series Sportsmanship Award.All fifteen winners will receive a great prize package provided by the Series Committee and the various Sponsors.All you have to do is run the races, we will take care of everything else.
